Hey Parents!
Here is the run down for what your child is learning this month in Kids Ministry:
Story: Jesus Calms the Storm (Matthew 8: 23-27)
Verse: “Even the winds and the waves obey him!” Matthew 8:27
Theme of God’s Character: Jesus is in control!
Throughout the month we will focus on our story, theme, and bible verse on different weeks. This week your child brought home a picture that they colored with our theme written on it, “Jesus is in control!”. We would encourage you to place this in a prominent spot in your home to be seen to remind you guys of our story throughout the month!
This week focus on asking your child about the story from Scripture we learned. We are focusing on how Jesus is in control of everything! Ask your child questions like, “Who is in control of the winds and the waves of the story you learned this week? That’s right! Jesus is in control of the winds and the waves” and “What is Jesus in control of? Yes! He is in control of everything! He is our King and He in control of all storms that happen in our life.”
We are excited to dive into Scripture with your child this month and look forward to seeing them grow in their understanding of God’s character.
