Here is our “Gospel Tie” for the month of September!
We learned in our story that Jonah didn’t want to go to Nineveh to tell the people about God. He didn’t obey God because he didn’t think the people deserved to be saved from their sins. Jonah was a broken and sinful man in need of a Savior, just like we are.
But guess who came to save us from OUR sins even though we don’t deserve it? Jesus did! Even though we are sinful people, Jesus loves us SO much that He came down to earth to share with us the good news and die on the cross for our sins! How cool is that?!
We know that this can seem challenging for your child to understand, but we want to encourage you to have these conversations with your kiddos about how ALL stories tie back and point to The Gospel!
The Gospel is the root of all we do, and from the very beginning of your child’s experience of Scripture, we want them to always have heard the message of Jesus being at the center of it all. He is the good news and we hope that this will help you to have simple conversations with your child this month!
